New Delhi: An abnormal state board of trustees, headed by back secretary Ashok Lavasa, which was made a request to inspect the seventh Pay Commission suggestion on remittances, is probably going to present its last answer to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley this week.
The Lavasa Committee was constituted in June a year ago after the legislature actualized the suggestion of the seventh Pay Commission.
The seventh Pay Commission had before proposed the rate of House Rent Allowance (HRA) at 24 percent, 16 percent and 8 percent of the Basic Pay for Class X, Y and Z urban areas individually.
The Commission had additionally suggested that the rate of HRA will be amended to 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent when DA crosses 50 percent, and further updated to 30 percent, 20 percent and 10 percent when DA crosses 100 percent.
The current rates of HRA for Class X, Y and Z urban areas and towns are 30 percent, 20 percent and 10 percent of Basic (pay in the compensation band in addition to review pay).
