My order is about keeping people with bad intentions out of US, says Donald Trump

NEW DELHI: United States President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that people could call his executive order barring immigrants and people from seven Muslim populated countries from entering the country whatever they’d like amid questions over whether the measure is a ‘ban’.

“Everybody is arguing whether or not it is a ban,” President Trump tweeted on Wednesday.

“Call it what you want, it is about keeping bad people (with bad intentions) out of country!”
On Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the president’s executive order is not a ‘travel ban’.

Spicer accused the media for casting the controversial policy as a ‘travel ban’.

“It’s not a Muslim ban. It’s not a travel ban,” Spicer said, adding, “It’s a vetting system to keep America safe.”
